  22. Hi, all.  I know you've all heard too much of the Pentium problems, but
  23. here's another for your viewing pleasure...

  25. OK.  A friend of mine just got LW 4.0 PR for his Pentium running Win95. 
  26. So far, the only scene we've had time to render on my system (A2000,
  27. GVP G-Force 040 33 MHz, Toaster-equiped) and his P90 was Texture example. 
  28. >From what I've read, Pentiums are supposed to be between 4 and 8 times
  29. Faster than my Amiga.  Anyone know about this?  Here's the numbers... (you
  30. can add these to the LW render times list...)

  32. Texture Examples, Low AA, 3 Segments
  33.     P90, 16-Megs RAM, Windoze 95        3 mins, 34 seconds

  35.     A2000, GVP G-Force 040 33MHz        7 mins, 44 seconds

  38. That's barely 2 times faster.  Just curious.

  40. And here;s another:  Anyone have problems using Wacom tablets with LW on
  41. Intels?  It seems my friend tablet is a wee bit sensitive (move it
  42. slightly, and the object you're moving ZIPS across the screen.  He's
  43. learned the numeric controls very well now...).
