Hi, all. I know you've all heard too much of the Pentium problems, but
here's another for your viewing pleasure...
OK. A friend of mine just got LW 4.0 PR for his Pentium running Win95.
So far, the only scene we've had time to render on my system (A2000,
GVP G-Force 040 33 MHz, Toaster-equiped) and his P90 was Texture example.
>From what I've read, Pentiums are supposed to be between 4 and 8 times
Faster than my Amiga. Anyone know about this? Here's the numbers... (you
can add these to the LW render times list...)
Texture Examples, Low AA, 3 Segments
P90, 16-Megs RAM, Windoze 95 3 mins, 34 seconds
A2000, GVP G-Force 040 33MHz 7 mins, 44 seconds
(render to Toaster Framebuffer)
That's barely 2 times faster. Just curious.
And here;s another: Anyone have problems using Wacom tablets with LW on
Intels? It seems my friend tablet is a wee bit sensitive (move it
slightly, and the object you're moving ZIPS across the screen. He's
learned the numeric controls very well now...).
Thanx to all replying...
